This position supports Cayuse’s contract with the U.S. Department of State. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or MBA (or other advanced degree preferred) and 3-7 years of experience in IT portfolio management. Your main responsibilities include analyzing Department of State IT portfolio data related to IT planning and federal governance initiatives, developing reports, and implementing metrics such as dashboards on IT acquisitions and spending trends.
You will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a federal agency environment, reporting to the bureau CIO, but expected to work independently with minimal supervision. The role aligns with Cayuse’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently and with staff to implement Technology Business Management strategies.
- Support analytical needs for IT portfolio decision-making.
- Construct and perform complex data queries and visualizations; support data collection, validation, and financial decision-making.
- Produce regular reports (monthly, quarterly, yearly) on IT and financial data.
- Analyze trends in IT capital planning, investments, and compliance with Federal IT regulations.
- Handle ad-hoc requests for oversight or management concerns.
- Maintain data accuracy for assigned projects.
- Contribute to innovative analysis ideas for IT financial and budgeting info.
- Identify reporting needs and develop analytical solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technology Business Management (TBM) Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, etc.).
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with R, Python, SAS, STATA, Matlab preferred.
- Experience with research and analysis in fast-paced environments.
- Detail-oriented with interest in IT regulation and guidance.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Secret Security Clearance; ability to pass background checks.
- Problem-solving skills, effective communication, and multitasking ability.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in IT strategy, financial management, dashboard creation, federal consulting, or related fields.
- PMP certification or similar is a plus.
- Experience with DoS or federal agency IT systems and protocols.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
