Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Lombard and Westmont, IL, is seeking a part-time X-ray Technologist to join a physician-led team.

The role involves operating radiologic equipment, positioning patients, and ensuring radiation safety. Requires an Associate’s degree and AART registration or eligibility, CPR, and 6 months to 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• AART registered or eligible; IDNS license may be required.
• CPR certification; six months to two years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist.
• Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.
• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
• Maintains radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
• Obtain patient’s pertinent history and assist with film quality control.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $29.00 - $43.00, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
