Overview
Performs imaging procedures and treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and theory, utilizing the most appropriate techniques and positioning for optimal procedures and treatments, as evidenced by procedure/treatment results.
- Develops an appropriate procedure and treatment plan.
- Implements the plan utilizing established hospital protocols and guidelines.
- Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure patient care meets established standards.
- Completes assigned goals.
Experience
Enrolled in an approved/accredited radiology program. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Basic computer literacy skills.
BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
