Overview

Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures and treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and theory, utilizing the most appropriate techniques and positioning for optimal procedures and treatments, as evidenced by procedure/treatment results.
2. Develops an appropriate procedure and treatment plan.
3. Implements the plan utilizing established hospital protocols and guidelines.
4. Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
5. Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure patient and staff safety.
6. Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure patient care meets established standards.
7. Completes assigned goals.

Specifications

Experience

Enrolled in an approved/accredited radiology program. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Training

Special Skills

Basic computer literacy skills.

Licensure

BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
