• Demonstrates understanding of Cardiac Cath Lab/ EP Lab principles and uses appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures.
• Develops and implements procedure/treatment plans using hospital protocols and current competencies.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure patient care standards are met.
• Completes assigned goals.

Overview

Job Summary

Assists in cardiovascular procedures in the Cardiac Cath and EP Lab by scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring under the supervision of the performing interventional cardiologist or electrophysiologist. Provides technical support in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular disease.
