Job summary

American Health Imaging in Decatur, GA is seeking an experienced Technologist Assistant (Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy) to support technologists and keep the imaging center on schedule. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, in Decatur.

You will help with patient care, prepare histories, start IVs, assist with MRI/CT flow, and maintain sterile rooms and equipment, with benefits including medical plans, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Radiology Technology student or 12 months imaging experience preferred.
• Prior IV insertion experience desired.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Job description

American Health Imaging is looking for an experienced Technologist Assistant (Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy) The Technologist Assistant will be responsible for helping all Technologists in the center in areas that allow the Technologist to maintain an on-time schedule and run the diagnostic imaging scanning area in an orderly fashion.

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30 PM located in Decatur, Georgia.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintaining excellent patient care
• Dressing patients and obtaining medical history
• Starting IVs
• Assisting MRI/CT with the patient flow
• Helping sterilizes equipment and rooms

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Radiology Technology student or 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality nice to have
• Previous experience starting IV's
• Knowledge of medical terminology desired
