Job summary

Lumexa Imaging, Inc. seeks a Technologist Assistant for the Post Oak facility in South Austin to provide onsite technologist support and optimize patient care and center workflow.

Responsibilities include starting IVs for MRI and CT, assisting patients, restocking, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Shift is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with required OSHA training and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience running IVs (venipuncture preferred).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patients to changing rooms and briefly explains procedures.
• Provides pre-exam screening and instructions.
• Assists patients on and off the exam table and supports technologists during scans.
• Maintains a clean, well-organized, adequately stocked, and safe patient environment.
• Monitors center modality schedules and communicates changes to staff.
• Completes OSHA and mandatory trainings and supports the care team.

Touchstone Medical Imagingis actively searching for aTechnologist Assistantto join our team at our Post Oak facility in South Austin ona fulltime basis. The Technologist Assistant will provide onsite technologist support to optimize patients care and center workflow.

Responsibilities include starting IVs for MRI & CT patients, walking patients to and from MRI & CT dressing rooms, burning CDs, and helping with the overall technologist workflow, such as restocking supplies.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Education and Experience:

• Experience running IVs - venipuncture preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates the company's values in daily activities
• Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure
• Provides pre-exam screening and instructions
• Assists patients on and/or off table when requested by technologist
• Supports technologists throughout scan and IV contrast administration
• Manages post-scan patient hand-off
• Ensures efficient, friendly, and smooth patient experience for all patients who enter the center
• Ensures smooth patient throughput of the entire center and all modalities
• Monitors center modality schedules
• Adjusts patients schedule when necessary and keeping all techs informed of any changes
• Attends all Company required OSHA training, annual training, and all mandatory Company updates.
• Consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, adequately stocked, and safe patient environment.
• Maintains effective communication with the in-center staff, virtual licensed provider, and patients to relay vital information and receive instructions
• Prepares room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table, putting previous coil away and changing table sheet
• Helps the technologist stay on time by having the next patient ready before the current patient is ready to get off the table
• Provides front-end coverage as needed
• Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
