U-Haul is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to service their fleet of Ford and GMC trucks. The role reinforces the company’s commitment to safety and customer service with hands-on vehicle maintenance and the use of proprietary inspection tools.

Ideal candidates bring basic mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Training programs are available to grow skills within the company.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Willingness to assist in additional areas as directed by supervisor.
