Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a Crane Maintenance Technician in Des Moines, Iowa. You will perform maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other equipment, with starting pay at $45 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical maintenance, effective communication skills, and creative problem-solving abilities. The position includes competitive compensation and a variety of benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 5 years of mechanic/maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Crane Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties of this Opportunity:

• Perform PM and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical systems (including troubleshooting onboard computer systems), hydraulic systems (booms, outriggers, pumps), brakes and other basic components
• Work on hydraulic and conventional cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers and miscellaneous equipment
• Communicate effectively with operators and other mechanics
• Use creative thinking skills to make continuous improvements
• Report to Service Manager
• Perform welding repairs as needed based on skill level

Compensation:

• Competitive compensation; starting pay $45 per hour plus total package based on experience
