Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Fleet Technician to perform truck and trailer repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics in a safety-conscious environment. You will collaborate with a repair team to diagnose issues, maintain repair records, ensure DOT compliance, and keep fleet operations efficient and ready for service with meticulous, reliable workmanship.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and the ability to meet company safety

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance.
• Welding and body fabrication experience is a plus.
• Must be able to read and comprehend technical reference materials (equipment and repair manuals).
• Experience with applicable Microsoft and diagnostic applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Conducts regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes.
• Collaborates with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs.
• Maintains accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
• Responsible for repairing, modifying and performing preventative maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles.
• Responsible for all maintenance to the operation of equipment by completing all required preventive maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions.
• Inspects fleet vehicles to ensure that all vehicles are DOT compliant to include brake maintenance.
• Completes all required daily reporting as required.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Adheres to strict safe work practices to comply with all Company, DOT and OSHA regulations.
