Job summary

FCC Environmental Services is seeking an experienced Fleet Technician in Daytona, FL. You will perform truck and trailer repairs, conduct preventative maintenance, and work with a team to diagnose and plan repairs.

You will maintain records and ensure DOT compliance for brakes and fleet operations. The role requires 2 years of fleet maintenance experience, reading technical manuals, and proficiency with diagnostic applications.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance.
• Welding and body fabrication experience is a plus.
• Must be able to read and comprehend technical reference materials (equipment and repair manuals).
• Experience with applicable Microsoft and diagnostic applications.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Conducts regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes.
• Collaborates with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs.
• Maintains accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
• Responsible for repairing, modifying and performing preventative maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles.
• Responsible for all maintenance to the operation of equipment by completing all required preventive maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions.
• Inspects fleet vehicles to ensure that all vehicles are DOT compliant to include brake maintenance.
• Completes all required daily reporting as required.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Adheres to strict safe work practices to comply with all Company, DOT and OSHA regulations.
