Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co. seeks a Technical Training Instructor based in State College, PA.

You will train employees and occasionally customers on the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Caterpillar equipment and systems, delivering classroom, hands-on, and online learning. The role requires familiarity with Caterpillar construction equipment, strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Familiar with Caterpillar construction equipment and systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills.
• Willing to complete the Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation Program (CIAP) and travel up to 25% (up to 50%).

Responsibilities

• Train employees, and occasionally customers, on operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Caterpillar equipment.

The instructor trains employees, and occasionally customers, on the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the products the company sells and services, including engines, hydraulic systems, electronics and emissions systems, through classroom instruction, hands-on learning and online learning, and develops training materials and hands-on lab activities. Candidates should be familiar with Caterpillar construction equipment and systems, have strong mechanical aptitude and communication skills, be willing to complete the Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation Program (CIAP) and travel by car across the territory about 25% of the time (up to 50%), and preferably have 5–10 years of relevant experience; benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, HSA, PTO and profit sharing.
