Hydromax USA is seeking a Technician Trainee in Novi, MI to support water maintenance projects including valve exercise, hydrant maintenance, and blowoff tasks. The role starts in a 3-month trainee program with clear growth paths toward Water Technician 1.

You will collect GPS coordinates, operate field equipment, and follow strict safety protocols while working outdoors in varying weather conditions. This position requires travel as needed and a commitment to precise data collection.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to pass background check and drug screening.
• DOT Medical Certification eligibility where required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect GPS coordinates for assets.
• Safely operate, maintain, and clean all equipment.
• Gather precise data from inspection points.

• Use PPE and follow safety protocols daily.
• Paint, scrape, and clean fire hydrants to standards.

Crews must follow strict safety protocols and be aware of roadside hazards. Some sites may include embankments, uneven terrain, or wet conditions. Expect outdoor challenges and changing weather conditions.
