Job summary

Inspira Health Network is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to clean, decontaminate, inspect, and assemble instruments for Surgical Services and other departments in New Jersey. The role includes operating sterilization equipment and distributing patient care supplies, all while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, completed SPD training (400 hours), and CRCST certification within two years. CIS/CER certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Sterile Processing Training with 400 hours of hands-on SPD experience.
• CRCST certification within two years of hire.
• Certification: CIS and CER preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble and sterilize instruments for Surgical Services and other departments.
• Assemble and distribute patient care equipment.
• Maintain compliance with standards (AAMI, CDC, OSHA, DNV, AORN).
• Demonstrate superior technical skills in Sterile Processing functions.
• Communicate and coordinate with department staff.

To perform other duties to facilitate departmental operations.
