Job summary

Inspira Health Network in Mullica Hill, NJ is seeking an Operating Room Scrub Technician to support safe, high-quality surgical care. You will prepare the OR, maintain the sterile field, and provide instruments and equipment during procedures.

The role requires CST certification, completion of an accredited surgical technology program, and strong aseptic technique. Prior scrub experience and excellent teamwork are valued in this dynamic perioperative team.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of an accredited surgical technology program and associated hours.
• Previous experience functioning as a Scrub Technician in an Operating Room setting preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile field maintenance, surgical instrumentation, and OR protocols.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and procedural needs across various specialties.
• Experience assisting with surgical counts, specimen handling, patient positioning, prepping, and draping.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team.
• Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to support patient safety.

MAJOR FUNCTION:The Operating Room Scrub Technician is a key member of the perioperative team who functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse and surgeon to support safe, high quality surgical care. The Scrub Technician is responsible for preparing the operating room, maintaining the sterile field, and providing instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures.
