Job summary

Aggreko plc in Reno, Nevada is seeking a Technician Power to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products at customer sites and in shops. You will work both in teams and independently to support natural gas solutions at the South Valley Peru Ridge data center site.

The role involves hands-on mechanical and electrical work, troubleshooting, and leading small job sites while maintaining strict safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and required certifications to operate equipment.
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs, climb stairs and work at heights as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and moderate repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical equipment, HVAC, and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at shop or customer sites, test and repair independently or with another technician(s).
• Complete paperwork and data entry in relevant systems as directed.
• Lead moderate job site setups and mentor lower-level Technicians.
• Maintain safety compliance according to OSHA, EPA and other regulations.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician based in Reno, Nevada.

You’llwork as a team and independently in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products.

This role will be supporting natural gas solutions at the South Valley/Peru Ridge data center customer site.

Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end.

What you’ll do as a Technician Power:

• Perform preventive maintenance and execute moderate repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil free air compressors
• Troubleshoot extensive equipment failures at the shop or on customer locations, test and handle the repairs on your own or with another technician(s)
• Complete necessary paperwork timely and accurately which may include data entry and general use of relevant computer systems and software as directed.
• Lead moderate job site setups and mentor lower-level Technicians
• Maintain thorough knowledge of, actively practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.

You are:

• Sets in Service (equipment readiness), downtime duration, speed of turnaround
• Pay Rate: $28 - $46 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
• Skills / Tech level progression
• Mentor and be a leader of projects
• Safety, measured in First Aid, OSHA recordables, Risks reported, etc.
• Other measures per business

Here’s what you’ll get:

• Technical aptitude: knowledge in generators, industrial HVAC equipment, air compressors, electrical distribution, power generation, load banks, and/or BESS products.
• Mechanically inclined: familiar with hand tool operation and have automotive lube and oil change as well as troubleshooting and testing experience.
• Ability to do both physical work as well as think through and resolve technical problems; willing to get hands dirty, sweat, and interact with internal and external customers to deliver solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and obtain & maintain necessary certifications required to operate any equipment as dictated by federal, state and/or local ordinances.
• Be a well-rounded tech in multiple products; multi-skilled.
• Must have High School Diploma/GED

• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that willpermitwork to be safely performed from ground / floor level tofull overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items,functional hand-eye coordination, andfunctionally grip with adequate strength to safelyhold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
