Job summary

The Operating Room Scrub Technician at Inspira Health is a key member of the perioperative team, assisting the surgeon and RN to ensure safe, high-quality surgical care. You will prepare the operating room, keep the sterile field intact, and hand instruments and supplies during procedures.

The role requires CST and BLS certifications, strong communication, and the ability to anticipate needs across specialties while following hospital policies to protect patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed accredited surgical technology program.
• CST certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience as OR scrub technician preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile field.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and procedure needs.

MAJOR FUNCTION:The Operating Room Scrub Technician is a key member of the perioperative team who functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse and surgeon to support safe, high quality surgical care. The Scrub Technician is responsible for preparing the operating room, maintaining the sterile field, and providing instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures.
