Siemens Energy is transforming how we deliver field service excellence. We are seeking a Technician Resource Manager to coordinate and dispatch field service technicians to outages while balancing skills, certifications, and customer priorities.

You will lead direct reports, support workforce planning, training compliance, and forecasting, and collaborate with operations, project management, and field teams to ensure safe, successful customer outcomes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Optimize technician utilization by coordinating and dispatching field service resources to outages, maintenance, inspections, and projects based on skills and availability.
  • Partner with operations, project management, and field leadership to develop resource plans for safe, efficient work.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Oversee workforce administration including training, travel coordination, time and attendance, onboarding, and forecasting.
  • Monitor demand, capacity, and qualifications to identify staffing gaps and mitigate risks.
  • Promote safety culture by ensuring resources are trained and aligned with policies and standards.

A Technician Resource Manager plays a key role in ensuring the right technical resources are deployed to meet customer and business needs. A typical day involves coordinating and dispatching field service technicians to outages while balancing technician availability, skills, certifications, and customer priorities. The role also provides administrative support for workforce planning, travel coordination, training compliance, and resource forecasting. In addition, the Technician Resource Manager develops and supports direct reports through coaching, performance discussions, career development, and succession planning, while collaborating closely with operations, project management, and field teams to deliver safe and successful customer outcomes.

  • Optimize technician utilization by coordinating and dispatching field service resources to customer outages, maintenance activities, inspections, and project assignments based on skills, certifications, availability, and business priorities.
  • Partner with operations, project management, and field leadership teams to develop resource plans that support safe, efficient, and successful execution of customer work scopes.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct reports, fostering employee engagement, professional development, succession planning, and career growth.
  • Oversee workforce administration activities including training compliance, travel coordination, time and attendance management, onboarding, and resource forecasting.
  • Monitor resource demand, workforce capacity, and technician qualifications to identify staffing gaps, mitigate risks, and support long-term workforce planning strategies.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring resources are appropriately trained, qualified, and aligned with company policies, customer requirements, and operational excellence initiatives.
What You Bring
  • 3-5 years supporting a field service organization
