Job summary

Guitar Center Inc. in Frederick, MD is seeking an entry‑level detailer to professionally clean rental instruments and prepare them for return to stock in the refurbishment workflow for woodwind and percussion. You will detail instruments to standard quality, complete daily production reports, and promptly report QC rejects.

The role includes general warehousing tasks when not detailing and other duties as assigned. English literacy and an apprenticeship or repair school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Apprenticeship or diploma from an accredited repair school is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Entry level; zero years of relevant work experience required.
• Novice proficiency with mechanical tools used for instrument cleaning and repair.
• Novice proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Detail and clean quality instruments in a timely manner based on production standards.

Duty or Responsibility:

• Responsible for detailing and cleaning quality instruments in a timely matter based on established production standards.
• Responsible for turning in accurate production reports on a daily basis
• Responsible for reporting QC rejects on a daily basis
• Responsible for performing general warehousing and distribution tasks as needed when not in operating in a detailer capacity.
• Additional duties as assigned.
