MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to perform efficient mechanical repairs and maintenance on rental equipment, primarily at customer job sites with occasional shop work.

The role requires advanced troubleshooting at job sites, completing inspection and appraisal reports, and ensuring all repairs meet company standards. A high school diploma, 5+ years of technician experience, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years or more of work-related experience in a technician related position.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Preferred: vocational or technical school certificate.
• Preferred: Class B CDL.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures at job sites.
• Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment to ensure it meets company standards.
• Prepares inspection and appraisal reports.
• Completely understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of rental equipment.
• Completes all documents associated with repairs in a timely manner.
• Adhere to directions regarding all repairs and service calls.
• Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in the work area.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures at job sites.
• Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components to ensure they meet company standards.
• Prepares inspection and appraisal reports.
• Completely understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of any piece of rental equipment
• Completes all documents associated with repairs in an accurate and timely manner.
• Adhere to manager's and lead mechanic's directions regarding all repairs and service calls.
• Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in the work area.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years or more of work-related experience in a technician related position.
• Valid Driver's License.

Preferred

• Certificate acquired through a vocational or technical school.
• Valid Class B CDL.
• 7 years or more of work-related experience with heavy equipment preferably with a rental company or Caterpillar and/or in a position with a working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems etc.
• Must have required shop hand tools.
