Job description

OneSubsea, located in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking to add several Production Technicians to their team.

Must be willing to work on-site in Mobile, Alabama, and be available for day/night shifts.

Note: No visa sponsorship is available at this time.

Summary:

Under general supervision, the Technician is responsible for assembling and testing complex mechanical assemblies with close tolerances. The role involves ensuring all work packages are processed correctly, and equipment/parts are assembled per specifications. The technician executes work as outlined in the Work Order package and must follow all safety and quality guidelines to ensure equipment meets the required standards.

Essential Functions:

This is an intermediate-level position requiring the application of basic skills with increasing independence. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Participating actively in the umbilical production process and gaining competence in one or more production areas.
• Monitoring the umbilical process, signals, and equipment; making operational adjustments as directed by control supervisors (e.g., brakes, pumps, reels, compressors, line speed).
• Operating and controlling carousels/tensioners and closing Epic systems.
• Developing an understanding of spooling route and accumulator construction.
• Learning spooling of umbilicals onto installation reels.
• Participating in pre-meetings for Closing, Extrusion, and Load-out operations and assisting with these processes.
• Obtaining certification as an outer sheathing repairer.
• Operating forklifts and/or overhead cranes as needed.
• Adhering to HSSE and Quality Standards.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to read instructions, procedures, project drawings, and maintain logs and reports.
• Good visual assessment skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Proficiency in using hand and electric tools.

Educational Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
