15503 W. Hardy Rd, Houston, TX 77060

Join our team and build the future of public transit!

Who We Are

Our company focuses on all things technical for bus-based public transit systems in the US. This means we design, manufacture, and manage all kinds of different products and features, including driver interfaces, dispatch communications, passenger counters, announcers, GPS tracking, and reporting & data analytics. It also means we build real-time information systems for riders including apps and digital signage found at bus stops. We have relationships with Apple Maps, Google Maps, Transit app, and our work goes out to millions of riders on those platforms. Our product is like air traffic control, but for buses. The US-based division of the company has approximately 50 people but is part of a 3,500-person parent organization. It’s the best of both worlds: small company feel with big company support.

It’s not your average job ad, and we're not looking for an average engineer. Interested? Let's dig in.

We’re seeking someone hands-on, mission-driven, and excited to make transit systems smarter and more reliable.

This position is 100% on-site at our Houston facility. Remote work is not available.

We’re here to serve our customers

Our customers are public transit operators. Their customers are the transit riding public, which is often people who have far less than we do. Our job is to Make Transit Work for them. We take this mission very seriously, and to put it bluntly: we want team members who are here to solve problems and serve customers as our first priority. While this isn’t an easy job and we don’t do a lot of handholding, our process is flexible and we’re interested in constantly delivering value in whatever way works best for the situation at hand.

If you want to be challenged with growth opportunities in a small team environment with high autonomy and see your work live on thousands of transit buses nationwide, then we are the team for you.

What Makes This Role Unique

Transit buses today are rolling data centers. Our work upgrades outdated systems to improve the experience for thousands of daily riders. Whether it’s a digital sign or an onboard announcement system, your work makes a real impact.

If you enjoy hands-on technical work and want to see your contributions in the real world, you’ll thrive here.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a reliable team member to lead technical efforts within our production department—working on both hardware and software provisioning. Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll handle:

  • Test, configure, and provision technical systems (like setting up a new phone—but for a transit bus)
  • Support firmware updates and troubleshooting in collaboration with our engineering team
  • Perform quality checks on incoming parts
  • Assemble and configure outgoing units
  • Process and repair damaged/warranty parts
  • Manage serial numbers, provisioning updates, and project-specific configurations
  • Use GMV and third-party tools for hardware tracking and documentation
  • Help with tasks like cable building, soldering, and basic IT/networking

This role requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a passion for technical problem-solving.

Skills that are desired to be successful in the role

  • 1 year of experience terminating and testing cables: ensuring proper connections and signal quality
  • 1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing cable systems: identifying and resolving issues with connection, signals or equipment.
  • Experience with various tools and equipment such as cable testers, crimpers, wire strippers and diagnostic devices.
  • Experience using a multimeter and working with low-voltage systems
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong problem-solving and independent thinking skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to shifting priorities.

Also it would be great if you had:

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification
  • Soldering experience
  • Familiarity with 3D printer operation
  • Ability to read and populate circuit board schematics

Pay and Benefits

  • $27-34 per hour (based on experience) + 8% bonus potential
  • Comprehensive health, vision, dental and voluntary benefits
  • Generous paid parental leave after one year
  • 401k plan with company match
  • PTO beginning with 15 days PTO + 4 flex days + 10 company holidays
