Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support our nursing teams and care for patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role includes drawing blood, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily patient needs. Shifts run 8:00am–8:30pm, three shifts per week, with weekend/holiday requirements. On-site work is required within New York, NY.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Nurse's Aide or equivalent is required.
• High school diploma and completion of a phlebotomy program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and record patient vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Report abnormal findings and reassure patients as part of the nursing team.
• Prepares patients for meals and assists as necessary.
• Routine environmental care such as linen changes, surface cleaning, and room tidying throughout the day.
• Collaborate with a team of nurses to provide patient-centered care.

Required Criteria
