Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BSN program

• Certification through an approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Current CPR training from the American Heart Association required

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, temperatures, pulses and respiration
• Provide meals delivery and safe patient transport
• Perform select care duties under supervision of a registered nurse
• Contribute to a safe, clean and healthy patient environment
• Be a compassionate, reliable team member to improve patient experience

Nursing Attendant Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.

Key Criteria

• Qualified candidates are currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program
• have completed at least one clinical rotation or will have previous certified nurses aide or nursing attendant experience
• plus certification through an approved, accredited certified nurses aide training program
• A high school diploma or GED is required
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required

Employment and Work Details

• All roles require on-site presence (variable by role)
• Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP
• NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses
