Job summary

Florida Eye Specialists is seeking dedicated Ophthalmic Technicians to join our growing practice. Technicians will perform advanced ophthalmic procedures, measurements and tests to support physicians and patient care across multiple locations.

No experience is required—we will train the right person. After a 90-day probationary period, full-time employees are eligible for benefits such as 401k and profit sharing after 1 year.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Medical Terminology (preferably ophthalmology).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with patients and employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced technical ophthalmic procedures, measurements and tests to provide physician data and assist in patient care.
• Travel to multiple locations based on clinic needs.
• Assist physicians and nursing staff in patient care and data collection.

Due to the nature of the business, this position will be required to travel to multiple locations, based on clinic needs.
