Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a skilled Technician - Materials & Process III to join our Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering team in the United States. You will perform laboratory testing, machine samples, and document results for stakeholders in a safety-conscious environment.

You will develop methods and training materials, maintain equipment, and identify new capabilities to expand laboratory operations, while lifting up to 50 lbs and working with hazardous materials when required.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience working in material test laboratories, or comparable environment.
  • Experience with engineering laboratory skills: weights and measures, chemical hygiene, materials safety planning, personal protective equipment, contamination control, workload organization and planning.
  • Ability to operate manual machine tools (saws, routers, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive project and task execution to meet or beat scheduled need dates
  • Extremely customer focused with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset. Our job is never complete; we are always optimizing
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces
