Job summary

Marport Mukilteo is seeking a technically skilled Marine Electronics Technician to join our on-site team in Mukilteo, WA. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain marine electronics and sensors on commercial vessels, providing hands-on support to ensure systems operate to specification.

You will work closely with sales and engineering to resolve product issues, document diagnostics, and participate in on-site training and travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years in a technical support or technician role, ideally within marine electronics or a related industry.
  • Trade or Technical School diploma preferred, or relevant technical experience.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and team members.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site support and training.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform routine installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of marine electronics and systems on commercial fishing vessels.
  • Conduct in-house technical support via phone, email, or remote access tools.
  • Assist with the repair and maintenance of marine electronics, including sensors and related equipment.
  • Test and verify systems to ensure proper functionality and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues.
  • Perform routine diagnostics, including testing electronic components and systems.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining technical documentation and manuals.
  • Support in configuring and testing new equipment and devices.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient work environment, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly handled and stored.
  • Follow proper safety protocols and work in accordance with safety standards.
  • Be willing to travel as needed for on-site technical support or training (if applicable).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-2 years of experience in a technical support or technician role, ideally within marine electronics or a related industry.
