About The Role

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, and improving process and packaging equipment to maximize production and maintain high standards in safety and quality. It also improves maintenance procedures and manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture.

Wednesday 11:45 pm – 6:00 am and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 5:45 pm – 6:00 am

Shift differential: 20% hourly rate

Key Responsibilities

  • Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting capabilities on control systems, pumps, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on complex process and packaging equipment
  • Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks as necessary, including those requiring advanced technical expertise
  • Responsible for safety compliance personally and with equipment
  • Review documentation for maintenance activity using the maintenance database, communicate maintenance issues to appropriate employees, and properly utilize the maintenance inventory system
  • Train production employees as needed for set‑ups, operation of all equipment, etc.
  • Participate in projects and/or rebuilds
  • Responsible for food safety and meeting all regulatory requirements
  • Assist in day‑to‑day support of operators for adjustments, setups, and changeovers
About You
  • High School or vocational school diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience, required
  • Food manufacturing experience, preferred
  • Vocational school, industrial maintenance degree, technical college training, satisfactory completion of formal apprentice program, preferred
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, line diagrams and schematics, required
  • Ability to identify and analyze a situation and make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, required
  • High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances, required
  • High degree of attention and care to prevent injury to others with responsibility for flow of electrical power
  • Exposure to voltages up to 480 V
  • Ability to work at high heights, e.g., on roofs, aerial lifts, elevated platforms, up to 50 feet while wearing fall protection and proper PPE
  • Able to lift 75 lb, frequently with mechanical assistance
  • Able to lift 50 lb, regularly
  • Able to lift 100 lb, occasionally
  • Kneel, squat, bend, stoop; frequently
  • Twist, stretch, reach overhead; frequently
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to walk up and down stairs, frequently
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures inside and outside the facility
  • Noise level can exceed .85 decibels
  • Finger dexterity
  • Ability to use computer screens for periods of time
  • Ability to sit for periods of time
