Job summary

Datawatch Systems in Alexandria, VA is seeking an entry-level Technician Level I to gain electronic security skills through hands-on and classroom training. You will learn installation techniques, building and fire code, plus access control and CCTV fundamentals.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 7 am–3 pm, with a starting wage of $20/hour plus benefits and paid time off. Applicants must pass drug screening and background checks; EOE.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Eligible to obtain a valid state driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical/trade/vocational schoolwork or experience in electronics/electrical (desireable, but not required)
• Able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs, climb stairs and ladders while carrying weight
• Reliable transportation to work sites in and around the DC/MD/VA areas
• Must be willing to participate in and pass the company's pre-employment screening process including a background investigation, motor vehicle and drug screening
• Obtain and maintain and/all required security license including FBI fingerprinting
• Reliable and punctual with strong attendance history
