Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Technician IV to join our SSB services team. You will perform advanced chemical processing, precision blasting, and thorough inspection of semiconductor chamber components to ensure ultra-clean surfaces and strict contamination control.

The role leads assigned Chemline and Blast production lines, supports first-article processing and R&D trials, and partners with engineering to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 4-6+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor services / chamber parts cleaning.
• Experience with chemical processing, plating, or wet bench operations preferred.
• Experience with blasting, coating prep, or precision surface finishing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced chemical cleaning, stripping, and surface preparation of semiconductor chamber parts.
• Execute precision blasting to remove deposition without damaging part integrity.
• Prepare, monitor, and adjust chemical tanks and process chemistries following strict recipes and controls.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections ensuring UHP cleanliness and defect criteria.

UCT is looking for a talented Technician IV to join us inPhoenix, AZ!

TheTechnician IVis an advanced technical contributor supportingChemline and Blast Level IV operationswithin UCT’s SSB services environment. This role performs complex chemical processing, precision blasting, and detailed inspection of semiconductor chamber components, ensuring ultra-clean surfaces and strict adherence to contamination control standards.

This position leads assigned process lines, approves production documentation and test results, and partners with engineering and quality teams to support process development, first-article qualifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performadvanced chemical cleaning, stripping, and surface preparationof semiconductor chamber parts using controlled chemistries and processes
• Executeprecision blasting (media, grit, or specialty blasting)to remove deposition without damaging part integrity
• Prepare, monitor, and adjustchemical tanks and process chemistriesfollowing strict recipes and controls
• Performincoming, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring parts meet UHP cleanliness and defect criteria
• Review andapprove travelers, test data, and Certificates of Analysis (CoA)supporting validated cleaning processes
• Lead assignedChemline and Blast production lines, prioritizing work and ensuring throughput and quality targets are met
• Supportfirst-article processing, R&D trials, and new process introductionin partnership with engineering
• Identify and escalationprocess deviations, contamination risks, or quality escapes, driving root-cause resolution
• Ensure properhandling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicalsin compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Follow strictcleanroom protocols and contamination control practices
• Train and mentor junior technicians; may providetechnical direction as a line lead
• Participate incontinuous improvement initiativesto enhance process capability, reduce defects, and improve cycle time
• Maintain accurate documentation and production records in accordance with quality systems
• May supportcoating prep steps, masking, etching, drying, and bake operationsas required
• Occasional local delivery or customer interaction as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong expertise in one or more of the following:
  • Chemical processing / wet bench operations
  • Media blasting / surface prep (aerospace, semiconductor, coatings, or similar)
  • Cleanroom manufacturing or contamination-sensitive environments
• Deep understanding ofprocess control, chemical safety, and contamination risksin precision manufacturing
• Ability to interprettechnical work instructions, process specs, and quality documentation
• Experience withSPC, data logging, and process validation
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to workindependently on complex processes
• Ability to lead workflows and providetechnical guidance to team members
• Proficiency withbasic computer systems (Excel, Word, MES or similar)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Typically4-6+ years of relevant experiencein:
  • Semiconductor services / chamber parts cleaning
  • Chemical processing, plating, or wet bench operations
  • Blasting, coating prep, or precision surface finishing
  • Aerospace, medical device, or other high-precision industries (transferable)

Additional Requirements

• Ability to obtainrespirator certification
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable to site needs)
• Ability to lift up to50 lbsand stand for extended periods
• Willingness to workovertime or flexible shiftsas needed
• Cleanroom and production floor environment
• Routine use ofhazardous chemicals and blasting equipment
• Required use ofPPE including gowns, gloves, respirators, and eye protection
• Repetitive tasks includingwiping, scrubbing, masking, blasting, and material handling
