Job summary

Merit Medical designs and manufactures innovative medical devices to improve patient lives. A technician will design tooling, build fixtures, and develop assembly procedures while conducting tests and documenting results.

Responsibilities include analyzing problems, preparing specimens, and possibly supervising other technicians. The role requires teamwork, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with common software tools. Multiple shifts and onsite work in Utah are available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with years of technician experience or higher.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and software.

Performs assignments and may assist in planning assignments of a non-routine nature for which operational precedents are not fully applicable.2. Designs and builds tooling, test fixtures and assembly equipment. Builds prototypes and models and may operate machine tools.3. Develops test and assembly procedures.4. Investigates and analyzes product and assembly problems.5. May supervise other technicians, lab and equipment.6. Prepares test specimens, adjusts and operates equipment, and records test data, pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.7. Writes reports, extracts engineering or other data from various reports and processes and presents the data.8. Receives technical advice from engineers or supervisor for complex problems.9. Working overtime may be required for this position.10.
