Job summary

GRAND RIVER DAM AUTHORITY is seeking a warehouse specialist to oversee receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control across multiple locations, including kitting, shipping, and reclamation assessments.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience in warehouse or materials management, proficiency with ERP systems, and forklift certification. Strong analytical and leadership abilities are essential, with duties also including training of junior staff and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or materials management with increasing responsibility.
• Experience with inventory control systems and Excel; ERP systems strongly preferred.
• Forklift certification and ability to operate material handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials.
• Monitor inventory accuracy with advanced cycle counting and reconciliation.
• Serve as key user/trainer for warehouse management systems (D365, Workday, Maximo).
• Develop and implement processes to improve inventory control and material handling efficiency.
• Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and production teams to ensure timely material availability.

Oversee the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control of materials across multiple locations. Leads the execution of complex material requests including kitting, shipping, receiving, and reclamation assessments. Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure material availability aligns with operational schedules and emergency demands.
