Job summary

GRAND RIVER DAM AUTHORITY is seeking a Technician I – Excavation at the Grand River Energy Center (GREC) in Chouteau, OK. The role focuses on handling coal, performing shift checks, cleaning areas, and learning operational processes through direct observation and supervised equipment operation.

The position requires completion of a two-year trade/technical program or related experience, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, and potential NCCER certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret and carry out complex written and oral instructions.
• Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
• Upon selection, must complete required training and qualification program.

Responsibilities

• Handle coal, do shift checks, and clean up.
• Learn about operational processes and different equipment through observation; may begin to operate equipment under close supervision.
• Participate in tailgate meetings; identify topics and contribute to safety-related discussions; and identify or stop potentially unsafe work practices.
