Job summary

ADMA Biologics in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Technician III, Industrial Maintenance to ensure reliable operation of facility systems in a cGMP environment. You will perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and documentation of work performed to support manufacturing and compliance.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, leading maintenance activities when needed, and maintaining inventory while adhering to FDA regulations and company SOPs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus three years of technical or vocational training.
  • Four to six years maintenance experience in pharma/medical devices preferred with GMP/ISO knowledge.
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical/mechanical diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergencies and repair ADMA systems to ensure safety and availability.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems (HVAC, boilers, WFI, etc.).
  • Document work performed and create/update work orders; conduct daily rounds.
  • Assist in installation/repair of pumps, panels, refrigeration, and related equipment.
  • Lead maintenance activities on assigned projects and ensure compliance with SOPs.

Position Summary

This position has the responsibility to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment. They will take corrective action and repair equipment when necessary. Provides appropriate notification and documentation of all work performed. Daily activities may include performing mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and tasks, PM activities, and other tasks involving various operations and repairs within a cGMP manufacturing facility.

Essential Functions (ES) and Responsibilities
  • Responds to emergencies as requested utilizing resources to effectively repair and ensure the safety and availability of ADMA systems and equipment.
  • On non-supervised shifts, assists with the continued operation of the facility, plant, and production systems. Has the authorization to start and stop equipment to ensure continued operation until necessary corrective action can be taken.
  • Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of assigned facility systems. This includes, but is not limited to, routine preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and documentation related to WFI systems, autoclaves, HVAC systems, steam systems, chillers, refrigeration systems, cooling towers, liquid pumping and compressed gas systems, boilers, clean steam, wastewater systems, etc.
  • Performs mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and tasks, PM activities, and other maintenance tasks involving various operations and repairs within a cGMP manufacturing facility.
  • Analyzes and diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and/or refrigeration problems and performs necessary corrective maintenance.
  • Performs and documents daily rounds observing utility instruments, mechanical, electrical, and other various aspects of the facility. Creates additional work orders for any abnormal issues observed.
  • Assists in plumbing, mechanical, and/or electrical equipment installation and repairs such as pumps, circuit panels, refrigeration, WFI, boilers, HVAC chillers, air compressors, motors, etc.
  • Assists other Maintenance personnel with troubleshooting and maintenance activities as needed.
  • Maintains inventory to ensure adequate parts and supplies are on hand. Completes purchase requisitions for equipment and parts as needed.
  • Assists in special projects and/or construction projects. Duties may include demolition, renovation, and new construction.
  • May take the lead on assigned maintenance activities, special projects, equipment installations, renovations and constructions activities.
  • Adheres to all ADMA SOPs, procedures, policies and federal regulations in the operation of these facilities.

Experience Requirements
  • Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years of technical or vocational training. Equivalent experience may be substituted for technical/vocational experience.
  • Experience Requirements: Four to six years previous general maintenance and/or construction experience needed, in the pharmaceutical/medical devices industry preferred. GMPs and ISO regulations knowledge needed for this position. Ability to read blueprints.

Additionally, the role requires proactive participation in compliance reviews, prompt reporting of any potential issues, and ongoing education to stay updated on relevant FDA regulations.
