The American Red Cross is seeking a Technician III, General Maintenance in Cleveland, OH. Under limited supervision you will perform repairs and routine maintenance across facilities, boilers, chillers, and related equipment, with responsibilities including safety compliance and vehicle travel to other locations.

• May train or check the work of other facilities staff.

Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Use hand and power tools to test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment. Use blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. May train or check the work of other facilities staff. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Maintain and repair organization's facilities and properties involving routine tasks and responsibilities. Correct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems. Paint structures and equipment as needed. Document installation and repairs as required by regulatory agencies.2. Repair appliances and equipment. Operate and service boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps and related mechanical equipment. Estimate time and material costs of various projects. Requisition new supplies and equipment.3. Review maintenance records to identify recurring deficiencies; plan and implement corrective maintenance or repairs.4. May troubleshoot and repair all building HVAC related equipment.5.
