Job summary

Qualifications

  • Five to eight years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and optimize advanced additive manufacturing equipment using multiple 3D printing technologies (FDM, Polyjet, SLA).
  • Prepare print setup including file prep, printer calibration, material loading, and build validation.
  • Post-process prints: remove supports, clean, cure, finish and inspect.
  • Review prototype requests with designers/engineers to understand requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement focused on quality, throughput and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot print failures and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to plan tasks.
  • Participate in 5S+1 lab organization and safety initiatives.

Summary:

The Technician will work collaboratively in a team environment to support 3D printing for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and initiatives for R&D product development. The successful candidate will manage multiple concurrent 3D printing prototype requests, maintain project schedules, ensure high-quality prints, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to deliver prototypes that meet design and performance requirements. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsbilities:
  • Operate, maintain, and optimize advanced additive manufacturing equipment using multiple 3D printing technologies, including Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), Material Jetting (Polyjet), and SLA (Stereolithography).
  • Perform print setup activities including file preparation with various 3D printing programs, printer calibration, material loading, and build validation.
  • Perform post-processing activities such as support removal, cleaning, curing, finishing, and inspection.
  • Review prototype requests and collaborate with designers and engineers to understand product design and project requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, throughput, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot print failures and perform periodic preventive maintenance on 3D printing equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to determine the process and sequence required to complete assigned tasks.
  • Actively participate in 5S+1 initiatives in the lab to maintain an organized and safe environment in compliance with NPI standards.
Qualifications:

  • Five to eight years of experience working in a similar role.

Our salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $58,000 - $64,000 based on hired level and experience.

  • the candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan.
  • Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
