Job summary

CommScope in Shakopee, MN seeks a Technician III for R&D to support 3D printing for new product introduction. You will manage concurrent prototype requests, maintain schedules, and collaborate with engineering to meet design and performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's in related curriculum such as additive and digital manufacturing, engineering, technology or CAD.
• Five to eight years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and optimize advanced additive manufacturing equipment using multiple 3D printing technologies (FDM, Polyjet, SLA).
• Prepare print setup including file prep, printer calibration, material loading, and build validation.
• Post-process prints: remove supports, clean, cure, finish and inspect.
• Review prototype requests with designers/engineers to understand requirements.
• Support continuous improvement focused on quality, throughput and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot print failures and perform preventive maintenance.
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to plan tasks.
• Participate in 5S+1 lab organization and safety initiatives.
