Job summary

Main Event is hiring a Technician III who will maintain and repair our games and entertainment systems, ensuring safe operation and high-quality guest experiences. You will troubleshoot, disassemble and replace components, manage inventory, and support the center’s equipment and facilities.

You must be 18+ with 2+ years in repair/maintenance of bowling equipment and arcade games, plus strong problem-solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age and able to perform hands-on repair work.
• 2+ years in repair/maintenance of automated bowling equipment and arcade games.
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to learn and operate multiple systems supporting the business.
• Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards throughout the facility.
• Welcome guests and act as a FUN ambassador.
• Perform electrical, mechanical and technical maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot repairs on games, tellers, and pinsetters.
• Disassemble, replace and repair mechanical/electrical components.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and order supplies as needed.
• Keep the mechanic shop and facility organized and clean.
• Assist in operations in the absence of the Technical Services Manager.
• Receive paid on-the-job training and develop skills.

At Main Event, our Technicians are responsible for maintaining the FUN! As a Technician, Tech III specifically, you are knowledgeable about the mechanics and operations of our games and entertainment options and ensure they are performing properly and safely. You are responsible for supporting the maintenance of the center’s equipment, building, and systems, to name a few. You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Welcome and engage with all guests while being a FUN ambassador!
• Performing electrical, mechanical, and technical work related to construction, repairs, preventive, and scheduled maintenance (gotta keep things running!)
• Troubleshooting repairs on games, tellers, pinsetters, etc.
• Disassembling, replacing, and repairing mechanical and electrical components or parts such as bearings, coils, armatures, and wiring
• Maintaining accurate inventory records
• Ordering supplies, tools, and materials as needed
• Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the mechanic shop and facility
• Maintaining the business in the absence of the Technical Services Manager
• Paid on-the-job training!

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• 18+ years of age
• 2+ years of general knowledge/skill set in the repair and maintenance of automated bowling equipment and arcade games
• Guest-focused mindset (We heart our Guests!)
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to learn and utilize multiple systems that support the business
• General knowledge/skill set on the repair and maintenance of automated bowling equipment and arcade games
• Skilled in practical application of electronics, mechanics, and hydraulics
• Basic working knowledge of hand tools; ability to use and handle tools to perform work
• Ability to perform work on ladders
• Ability to handle equipment up to 250 lbs.
• Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations and safety practices
• Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
