Telaid seeks an experienced Technician III to join our Field Services team. You will lead on-site installations and service of CCTV, Intrusion, and Fire Alarm systems at client sites across NC & VA with US travel.

Expect to troubleshoot on first visit, mentor junior techs, and coordinate with PMO and Service Center. Strong on-site leadership and customer focus are essential for success in multi-site deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years as a Technician Two or equivalent field experience.
• Proficient with CCTV, intrusion, fire alarm, and access control systems.
• State license(s) for installation and break/fix preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and service CCTV, intrusion, and fire alarm systems at client sites according to schedule.
• Troubleshoot break/fix tickets with a focus on first visit resolution.
• Provide timely updates to PMO, Resource Center, and Service Center.
• Serve as escalation point for client issues and lead on site when needed.
• Train and mentor less experienced technicians and subcontractors.
• Complete job walks with clients and assist with bids and material lists.
• Maintain company vehicle and tools; complete admin tasks on time.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technician III to join our Field Services team. This role is built for a technician who brings strong, hands-on proficiency across CCTV, Intrusion, and Fire Alarm systems, and who is ready to lead on site, train others, and represent Telaid directly with our clients.

You will be trusted to troubleshoot and resolve break/fix tickets on the first visit, act as the escalation point for client issues, and direct and audit the work of other technicians when serving as lead. If you know these systems inside and out and want to put that expertise to work across a variety of client sites, this is the role for you.

What You Will Do

• Install and service CCTV, Intrusion, and Fire Alarm systems at customer sites according to schedule
• Troubleshoot break/fix tickets with a focus on first visit resolution
• Provide timely updates to the PMO, Resource Center, and Service Center
• Serve as the point of escalation for client issues, resolving what you can and escalating to the Field Service Supervisor or Project Manager when needed
• Act as lead technician on site, directing, inspecting, and auditing the work of other technicians
• Train and mentor less experienced technicians and subcontractors on theory and best practice for reliable, quality installations
• Complete job walks with clients and provide input for bids and estimates, including identifying obstacles and building materials lists
• Maintain your company vehicle and tools, and complete administrative requirements on time

Qualifications

What You Bring

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Technician Two, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in CCTV, Intrusion (Burg Alarm), Fire Alarm, and Access Control systems
• Ability to operate network certifiers
• State license(s) for installation and break/fix work, preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
• A self starting mindset with the initiative and problem solving skills to run field projects with minimal direction
• The composure to manage stress while delivering an excellent customer experience
• Willingness to travel to support Telaid business, including multi week projects
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders to reach overhead ceiling areas, and lift up to 45 lbs
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Certifications Required or Preferred

• BICSI Installer 2 Copper and BICSI Installer 2 Fiber
• LIFT and OSHA 30
• Product specific training as required (Firelite, IP Config)
