Job summary

WindHQ LLC is seeking a Technician III to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines and related equipment. The role requires understanding electrical and hydraulic maintenance, reading schematics, and using diagnostic tools to interpret fault reports and turbine data.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in a technical field or a relevant certificate/degree, the ability to climb turbines up to 300 feet, and a valid non-CDL driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on technical experience or completion of a technical certificate/degree.
• Ability to climb wind turbines up to 300 feet.
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Evaluation required.
• Valid Non-CDL driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment.
• Complete electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Maintain all company equipment, facilities, and tooling.
• Read fault reports, monitor turbine performance and SCADA systems, and log service data.
• Meet attendance requirements and perform other duties as assigned.

What The Role Entails

The Technician III performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines and other associated equipment. Individuals understand the mechanics, including both electrical and maintenance of hydraulics, of all wind turbine components. This position replaces mechanical and electrical components, understands schematics and uses appropriate diagnostic tools. The successful candidate will interpret fault reports, maintain power generation reports, service logs in the computer database, and monitor turbine performance and SCADA systems.
