Job summary

Main Event Entertainment is seeking a Technician III to maintain arcade games, bowling equipment, and related systems. You will perform electrical, mechanical, and preventive maintenance to keep centers running safely and smoothly.

You’ll troubleshoot game and equipment issues, manage parts inventory, and support the maintenance team. The role requires hands-on skills, safety compliance, and flexibility to work varied shifts with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• 2+ years of repair and maintenance of automated bowling equipment and arcade games
• Ability to wear PPE and follow OSHA safety practices
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 250 lbs and perform work on ladders
• Experience with electronics, mechanics, and hydraulics

Responsibilities

• Upholding cleanliness and safety standards

• Perform electrical, mechanical and technical work for construction, repairs, preventive and scheduled maintenance
• Troubleshoot repairs on games, tellers, pinsetters, etc.
• Disassemble, replace, and repair mechanical and electrical components
• Maintain inventory records
• Order supplies, tools and materials as needed
• Keep the mechanic shop and facility organized
• Assist in absence of Technical Services Manager

At Main Event, our Technicians are responsible for maintaining the FUN! As a Technician, Tech III specifically, you are knowledgeable about the mechanics and operations of our games and entertainment options and ensure they are performing properly and safely. You are responsible for supporting the maintenance of the center’s equipment, building, and systems, to name a few. You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Welcome and engage with all guests while being a FUN ambassador!
• Performing electrical, mechanical, and technical work related to construction, repairs, preventive, and scheduled maintenance (gotta keep things running!)
• Troubleshooting repairs on games, tellers, pinsetters, etc.
• Disassembling, replacing, and repairing mechanical and electrical components or parts such as bearings, coils, armatures, and wiring
• Maintaining accurate inventory records
• Ordering supplies, tools, and materials as needed
• Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the mechanic shop and facility
• Maintaining the business in the absence of the Technical Services Manager
• Paid on-the-job training!

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• 18+ years of age
• 2+ years of general knowledge/skill set in the repair and maintenance of automated bowling equipment and arcade games
• Guest-focused mindset (We heart our Guests!)
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to learn and utilize multiple systems that support the business
• General knowledge/skill set on the repair and maintenance of automated bowling equipment and arcade games
• Skilled in practical application of electronics, mechanics, and hydraulics
• Basic working knowledge of hand tools; ability to use and handle tools to perform work
• Ability to perform work on ladders
• Ability to handle equipment up to 250 lbs.
• Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations and safety practices
• Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
