Job Description

This position will be responsible for leading a team of four to six CNC Machine Operators in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Responsibilities include directing associates, training new production staff, supporting them to meet daily production goals, executing changeovers, troubleshooting technical and quality issues, adjusting machine parameters, and maintaining product quality standards. The role requires frequent mobility throughout the production area. A detailed understanding of CNC controls and metalworking equipment is essential, along with general computer skills and the ability to learn new software. The TC Cell Lead must foster a positive, clean, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 to 12 hours
• Proper hand dexterity
• Ability to follow written work instructions, production orders, product specifications, and technical drawings
• Proficient in measuring devices such as Dial Indicators, Micrometers, and Calipers
• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading associates
• Effective communication skills (written and oral)
• Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining operation and programming experience, or an Associate’s Degree in CNC Programming and Machining
• Basic understanding of energy sources (electric, pneumatic, hydraulic) within machinery
• Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

Additional Responsibilities

• Identify and document safety issues
• Setup machines using basic hand tools and measuring devices
• Transfer and load files on CNC controllers
• Direct associates at shift start and throughout
• Document time and attendance
• Train new CNC Operators
• Identify and troubleshoot machine problems
• Ensure proper product flow and quality standards
• Read and follow standard operating procedures
• Perform quality inspections and resolve root causes of issues
• Adjust machine parameters to maintain tolerances
