Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America is seeking a Technician II Security to install, test, and service commercial integrated security systems including PACS and high‑resolution VMS for mission‑critical data centers. You’ll follow MOP protocols, ensure zero downtime, and maintain cable management to BICSI standards while mentoring apprentices.

Responsibilities include startup, closeout, and handover to clients and service teams.

Qualifications

  • PLT Certification: Limited Energy Journey Technician Certificate.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
  • Minimum 1 year working in Security Systems Integration.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite as evidenced by 1 year of experience.
  • Aptitude for learning system programming as evidenced by 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, terminates and tests equipment per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and or electrical codes.
  • Responsible for training apprentices on Company procedures, systems, and installation techniques.
  • Work with Project Managers, Field Engineers, and Lead Technicians on startup to ensure complete system compliance.
  • Daily communications with Installation Supervisor on delays, requirements, and general status of jobs to ensure delivery of the project.
  • Work with Installation Supervisor to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service department.
  • Repair, restore and test all systems per specifications and in conjunction with any pertaining building and or electrical codes.
  • Accurate written record keeping, submitted on time and complete.
  • Maintain professional licensing as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
  • Work at required heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other.
  • Work in confined spaces as necessary.

Technician II Security position will provide efficient and high‑quality installations related to Commercial integrated security systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing startup, installation, closeout and service of jobs; assisting in design and other tasks as assigned while delivering on Bosch Building Technologies commitments. Are you a meticulous Security Installation Technician ready to deploy cutting‑edge physical security solutions within the nation's most critical digital infrastructure? We are seeking an expert to install, integrate, and maintain advanced Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) and high‑resolution VMS (Video Management Systems) across our mission‑critical data center environments. Success in this role demands strict adherence to Method of Procedure (MOP) and zero downtime protocols, exceptional cable management discipline (in line with BICSI standards), and proficiency with specialized security hardware like mantraps and biometric authentication systems.   • Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
  • Ability to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to function as an effective team member.
  • Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
Additional Information
  • Compensation: $43.74 Union
  • Working Hours: This position generally works Monday‑Friday, overtime and on call when necessary.
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional Travel Required.
