The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers missions. **What You ll Do:**

+ Will be under the general direction of one or more design and manufacturing engineers but will have considerable autonomy in getting the job done.

+ RF R&D includes primarily RF components (amplifier and switch testing, electronic circuit troubleshooting and repair), but may expand into other areas including antennas and antenna-related components that are in RF/microwave instruments.

+ RF R&D Manufacturing support requires mechanical, as well as RF capabilities to build and test the RF components in question.

+ Perform standard duties and tasks and will resolve routine questions and problems independently.

+ Work will be performed under general direction on a day-to-day basis and will be reviewed upon completion.

+ Develop thorough technical solutions to a wide range of problems and may direct less-experienced employees.

+ Relate well with other people from the engineering and production ranks.

+ Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

+ Perform other duties as necessary.

**On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

**Working Conditions:**

+ Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 or more years of related experience.

+ Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor s or Master s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

+ As this position requires operating a company vehicle, an offer and subsequent employment are contingent upon possessing and maintaining a valid US driver's license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

+ Ability to develop a wide range of R&D-support capabilities, so that he or she can get involved in either multiple programs or multiple aspects of the same program.

+ Experience with various hand and power tools.

A DoD Interim Secret clearance will be required to start work and required to be maintained to continue work. Higher level clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ General knowledge of electrical/RF test equipment (spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, DVM, etc.) and antenna troubleshooting

+ Experience with machining, to include vertical mills, routers, bandsaws, lathes and software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Mastercam are desired.

+ Experience with RF and RCS range testing.

+ Sheet metal and body filler experience.

+ Experience in soldering, bonding, sealing.

+ Experience in the process of fabricating and assembling PCB s and/or PAB s

+ Experience with wood working equipment such as panel saws, table saws, planers, routers and other various equipment.

+ Experience with auto, auto body and carpentry work apply well for the fabrication and assembly skills needed for this position.

+ Drawing interpretation and redlining experience.

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $46680 - $74687

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
