Job summary

• Inspecting lenses.
• Blocking, spotting, taping and/or focusing.
• Lens coating and tinting.
• Assembling jobs and packaging & shipping.
• Entering data and invoicing/billing.
• Equipment troubleshooting.
• Purchasing and vendor interactions.

Under minimal supervision where operations and sequences are specified by written and verbal instructions and established practices, the Lab Technician II will perform routine and semi-routine production duties associated with the lens manufacturing processes.Sound Interesting?Here’s what you’ll do:This position will have a variety of tasks within the department with minimal supervision. Must have intermediate optical knowledge. Cross training will be required within the lab and may include:Receiving Lenses and / or FramesInspecting lensesBlocking, Spotting, Taping and / or FocoLens CoatingTintingAssembling JobsPackaging & ShippingEntering DataInvoicing & BillingEquipment TroubleshootingPurchasingDo you qualify?Performs routine and semi-routine production duties associated with various aspects of lens production paying close attention to quality, quantity and efficiency.
