Job summary

Eaton seeks a Technician II for Framing/Outside Steel on a 2nd shift in Greenwood, SC. You will assemble, wire, fit, and modify medium and high voltage assemblies, following drawings and supervision; inspect and test components and maintain quality standards.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, using hand/power tools, maintaining Kanban levels, and supporting engineering with development or prototype work. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Prefer 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience.
• Experience using hand and air tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with Enovia or similar job-specific software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, fit, and modify medium/high voltage assemblies per drawings and instructions.
• Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wiring operations as needed.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Technician II - (Framing/Outside Steel) - 2nd Shift.The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm until 1:30am and Friday from 3:30pm until 7:30pm.This position is eligible for a variable pay incentive program.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:In the Assembly Technician role, you assemble, wire, fit, and modify work in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these.Follow manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions from supervisors or engineering, in accordance with established procedures.Complete ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists as required by supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering.Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wiring operations as needed.Regularly lift, handle, and assemble heavy copper components.Maintain minimum Kanban inventory levels and promptly report shortages to the appropriate operators.Inspect all assemblies to ensure hardware is secure and nothing is missing, and confirm overall cleanliness and workmanship.Respond to change notices, customer-requested adjustments, and development-related updates.Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-driven development or prototype work.Work from detailed drawings, sketches, manufacturing information, and supervisor or engineering instructions, adhering to all established procedures.Effectively train and coach colleagues to support knowledge transfer and skill development.This job posting describes the general nature and level of work being performed and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, or skills required.
