Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Wind Technician to join our Iowa team. You will maintain and repair wind turbines with colleagues to keep communities powered, while following safety protocols and documenting work.

The role requires a Wind Technician certificate or equivalent experience, strong problem-solving and teamwork, and the ability to work at heights. English literacy and lawful work status in the United States are required.

Qualifications

• Wind turbine maintenance experience or a Wind Technician certificate is required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to responsibilities.
• Safety-conscious and committed to best practices.
• Ability to work well in collaborative environments.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights in varying conditions.
• English reading, writing, and following instructions.
• High school diploma (or equivalent), valid driver’s license, and work authorization in the U.S.

Requirements

• At least 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year of wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields.
• Highly developed problem‑solving abilities and an engaged approach to responsibilities.
• Safety‑conscious and committed to best practices.
• Able to work well with others and enjoy collaborative environments.
• Physically fit, comfortable working in various conditions, and at heights.
• Ability to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• You have a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver’s license, and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
