Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Purification Lab Tech in San Diego, CA, to join a 5-month contract focused on synthesizing, sorting, purifying, and sampling custom oligonucleotides. You will follow SOPs, adhere to GMP/ISO guidelines, and work onsite with standard day shifts.

Responsibilities include operating lab equipment, performing QC, documenting steps, and making purification decisions to ensure final purity.

Qualifications

• Requires associates or bachelor's degree.
• Requires experience following SOPs.
• Experience in GMP or ISO environment.
• Experience with downstream purification.
• Laboratory environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize, sort, purify, and sample custom oligonucleotides per SOPs and safety rules.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated and manual lab equipment.
• Perform QC testing and evaluate data; assign pass/fail dispositions.
• Document process steps and select purification methods using appropriate software.
• Ensure oligos meet final purity requirements and manage contamination controls.

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Purification Lab Tech for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in San Diego, CA, 92121.

Details of the position are as follows:

Job Description

• Pay: $22.00- 24.00/hr to start.
• 5- month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance.
• Shift: Monday- Friday, Standard day shift, onsite position.
• Position will mainly be responsible for synthesizing, sorting, purifying, and sampling custom oligonucleotides while following lab SOPs, safety regulations, and contamination controls.
• Responsibilities also include operating and troubleshooting automated and manual lab equipment, performing QC testing, evaluating data, assigning pass/fail dispositions, and ensuring oligos meet final purity requirements.
• Position will also be responsible for accurately documenting process steps, using software to select purification methods, troubleshooting oligo failures, and making appropriate purification decisions.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree is required.
• Experience following SOP's is required.
• Experience in a GMP or ISO environment is required.
• Experience with downstream purification is required.
• Experience in a laboratory environment is required.
