Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Technician II to help transform innovative designs into life-changing diabetes technology for patients worldwide. The role focuses on hands-on assembly, calibration, testing, and data reporting for a variety of electronic, mechanical, and optical systems.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of relevant experience, a US high school diploma or equivalent, and a willingness to work 2nd shift. Bilingual Spanish/English and familiarity with MS Office are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

2nd Shift
  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Nice To Have
  • Associate Degree (Electronic, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology or related)
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • SAP knowledge
  • Vision System basic knowledge
  • PLC basic knowledge
  • Knowledge on the interpretation of electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Troubleshooting knowledge on electronic and mechanical components, equipment or systems.
