Qualifications

The Technician II supports programs that rely on relationships with business partners to provide a consistent outstanding customer experience. The Technician II will be instrumental in making sure quality is guaranteed, and training is consistent as we rely on more and more business partners.**Primary Duties and Responsibilities*** Act as a lead on site and direct, inspect, and audit technician’s work as needed* Perform complete installation and service work on customer site, including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and testing, based on schedule* Proficient in five of ten areas of focus: Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burg Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Digital Signage, Access Points, Networking* Provide regular updates (email responses and deliverables) to Project Management Team(s), Resource Center and Service Center in a timely manner, and act as a point of escalation for clients, providing resolutions whenever possible.* Assist in training of less experienced technicians in scopes of work and administrative tasks.* Take direction and learn from more experienced technicians on jobsites.* Train subcontractors and Telaid technicians on theory and practices for reliable quality installations* Complete administrative job requirements in a timely fashion* Maintain company vehicle and tools if assigned* Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.## Qualifications**Skills and Personal Attributes*** Must have strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.* Must be a self-starter with initiative and problem-solving skills to run field projects with minimum direction* Must have self-control to handle stress and provide exceptional customer service. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task and availability to work outside of normal scheduled work hours and ability to travel to achieve quality and schedule demands required.**Education and Experience*** Minimum of two years as a Technician I or equivalent experience is required.* Must have industry manufacturer certifications or equivalent structured cabling experience.* Diverse knowledge of some of the following: network cabling, CCTV, Fire Alarm, intrusion, access control, and networking.* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, etc.)* Maintain LIFT and OSHA30 Certifications.* Laptop Knowledge* Must complete and maintain local installer licenses and cards.* Must complete and maintain BICSI Installer 1 certification.* Demonstrated knowledge in key areas as outlined by management.* Must complete HIPAA Training.**Additional Requirements*** Must be willing to travel to support Telaid’s business. Travel may include working on long-term projects over multiple weeks at a time.
