Job summary

Telaid Industries Inc. is seeking a Technician II in Atlanta, GA to lead on-site installations and training for low voltage solutions. You will inspect technician work, configure and test systems, and coordinate with project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Ideal candidates bring two years of technician experience, relevant certifications, and proficiency with CCTV, access control, and networking. Travel may be required to support multi-site projects across the US.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years as Technician I or equivalent.
  • Industry manufacturer certifications or equivalent structured cabling experience.
  • Knowledge of network cabling, CCTV, Fire Alarm, intrusion, access control, and networking.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word).
  • Maintain LIFT and OSHA30 Certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a lead on site and direct, inspect, and audit technician’s work as needed.
  • Perform complete installation and service work on customer site, including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and testing.
  • Provide regular updates to Project Management Team(s), Resource Center and Service Center; act as escalation point for clients.
  • Assist in training of less experienced technicians and subcontractors.
  • Maintain company vehicle and tools; perform other duties as assigned.

The Technician II supports programs that rely on relationships with business partners to provide a consistent outstanding customer experience. The Technician II will be instrumental in making sure quality is guaranteed, and training is consistent as we rely on more and more business partners.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAct as a lead on site and direct, inspect, and audit technician’s work as neededPerform complete installation and service work on customer site, including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and testing, based on scheduleProficient in five of ten areas of focus: Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burg Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Digital Signage, Access Points, NetworkingProvide regular updates (email responses and deliverables) to Project Management Team(s), Resource Center and Service Center in a timely manner, and act as a point of escalation for clients, providing resolutions whenever possible.Assist in training of less experienced technicians in scopes of work and administrative tasks.Take direction and learn from more experienced technicians on jobsites.Train subcontractors and Telaid technicians on theory and practices for reliable quality installationsComplete administrative job requirements in a timely fashionMaintain company vehicle and tools if assignedPerform other work-related duties as assigned by management.Skills and Personal AttributesMust have strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.Must be a self-starter with initiative and problem-solving skills to run field projects with minimum directionMust have self-control to handle stress and provide exceptional customer service. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task and availability to work outside of normal scheduled work hours and ability to travel to achieve quality and schedule demands required.Education and ExperienceMinimum of two years as a Technician I or equivalent experience is required.Must have industry manufacturer certifications or equivalent structured cabling experience.Diverse knowledge of some of the following: network cabling, CCTV, Fire Alarm, intrusion, access control, and networking.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, etc.)Maintain LIFT and OSHA30 Certifications.Laptop KnowledgeMust complete and maintain local installer licenses and cards.Must complete and maintain BICSI Installer 1 certification.Demonstrated knowledge in key areas as outlined by management.Must complete HIPAA Training.Additional RequirementsMust be willing to travel to support Telaid’s business. Travel may include working on long-term projects over multiple weeks at a time.
